Will the Country Fall Asunder?

Will the Country Fall Asunder?

By

James Bredin

I’m worried that the country could fall asunder,
Because adscam politicians were into plunder,
Envelopes of cash as they taxed and spent at the trough,
Bold as brass as they bought their way and never backed off.

Then denied knowledge of the remaining missing stash,
Millions or billions and maybe all in cash,
But constant callous propaganda pumped day and night,
In their newspapers coast to coast to show they’re alright.

Multicultural mosaic melting pot madness,
Mixed feminists, ethnics, gays, boldness and sadness,
Incoming millions of immigrants with Charter Rights,
Appointees, same-sex stuff, abortions that could incite.

They’ll bend over backwards just to keep the status quo,
Just to stay in office with that missing adscam dough,
Odious orthodoxies of the far out left,
Missing Mafia millions; was it outright theft?

Non confidence vote in parliament came and went,
With Liberal clapping and cheering like they’re not bent,
Though they deny and say they’re the best guys in town,
Gomery Inquiry showed how they fooled around.

The Quebecois of course are involved up to their necks,
Reason for their next referendum – not too complex,
They may declare sovereignty right after that,
Or will Chretien’s Clarity Act come up to bat?

More Advice to Stephen Harper

By

James Bredin

Stephen Harper wants to be the next prime minister,
And change this adscam lot who appear quite sinister,
Who tax and spend and travel to a high degree,
And never cancelled Mulroney’s GST.

So Stephen Harper, I have some advice for you,
About the changes that are long overdue,
Be better than adscam Liberals and bring some change,
Get rid of the Mulroney’s GST – not so strange.

Otherwise we’re condemned to stay in Liberal hell,
Corrupt adscam dictatorship where things are not well,
Shut down corrupt politicians as soon as you can,
Otherwise you’ll be a Kim Campbell flash in the pan.

So get off your ass now and tell us where you stand,
And not follow in the footsteps of that Adscam gang,
We’ve heard of Belinda and her gobbledegook,
Crossed the floor, changed sides and could make us puke.

Liberal Irregularities

Liberal Irregularities

By

James Bredin

Irregularities and improprieties,
Peculiar circumstances in vast varieties,
Add a million here, a billion there and it’s all gone,
Judge Gomery couldn’t find it and they just yawn.

But it’s not their fault they insist again, once more,
If you’re a constituent, you just have to ignore,
Partisan party politics is the name of their game,
Corrupt adscam politicians are not all the same.

Please ignore the dishonesty at the election,
And don’t think there might be a corruption connection,
Consider various factors and hold your nose,
Please vote Liberal because no one else knows,

Overlook the level of PMO manipulation,
Consider their fragile adscam desperation,
They would like to stay in Ottawa forever,
No more adscam investigations whatsoever.

Able bodied white males

Able bodied White Males

By

James Bredin

Able bodied white males were banned yesterday,
From the Federal Public Works Department they say,
Only visible minorities and women could apply,
Employment equity they say but they don’t know why.

Political correctness gone completely mad,
Canadian Government can’t see it -- so sad,
People always herded like a large flock of sheep,
Mild mannered persons who seem half asleep.

The Department had targets so white guys laid off,
Equality for all kept them from the trough,
Designated disadvantaged groups got the jobs,
There’s an election coming soon, able bodied slobs.

Do it soon -- without delay

Do it soon – without delay

By

James Bredin

I’m almost afraid to wake you up from your deep sleep,
English-speaking sentiments run long and run deep,
‘Cause all that love and laughter could be in for a shock,
Canadian status quo is not as steady as a rock.

Though Lord Durham’s report is no longer enforced,
And the two nations warring never did get divorced,
Though Quebec was given immigration controls,
Those separatists seem to have captured their souls.

Multicultural bilingualism imposed,
Therefore separatism should have been deposed,
Except Quebec had referendums and we did not,
History back to haunt us as part of this plot.

Quebec refused to sign Trudeau’s Charter of Rights,
Though the Queen signed it to English speaking delights,
Centralized federation called confederation,
Apparently Quebec dislikes this innovation.

Near-victory referendum was a wake-up call,
Though Ottawa not known to be on the ball,
Got involved with adscam and thought they could buy their case,
The Gomery Inquiry showed that was a disgrace.

They seem to want a republic which is forbidden,
Therefore their referendum will be overridden,
By Chretien’s Clarity Act for Ottawa’s sake,
He who started adscam -- and the next mistake.

We need a new constitution and we need it soon,
Preferably by tomorrow in the afternoon,
Real democracy – not imposed – could save the day,
And we should do it now or soon without delay.

Toronto the Good

Toronto the Good

By

James Bredin

Gridlock traffic slowing us down to a halt,
Socialist politicians deny that it’s their fault,
Gang guys too plus shots and bullets in the night,
One guy shot in church which gave us all a fright.

Fatherless factions in ghetto atmosphere,
Rap music background with anxiety and fear,
Silence plus dense denial and no witnesses in sight,
A different person shot dead almost every night.

Soft justice system helps trade in guns and drugs and cash,
In and out of jail with bail as quick as a flash,
Going to a meeting to renounce those cops,
They should stay away from the ghetto and drug drops.

Countless ghetto corridors built high in the sky,
Mad political correctness and no one knows why,
And those who speak out are full of discrimination,
And no one dare discuss this in desperation.

Molly coddle prisoners; adscam politicians can,
Names not released because of publication ban,
Of course they wrote the Youth Criminal Justice Act,
Gang guys vote of course and when friends shot; they react.

Leadership, leadership where are we going now?
Where can we go, what can do and does time allow?
Quebec referendum three coming down the road
Could the country break up while we’re in this mode?

Multicultural Management

By

James Bredin

Bilingual multiculturalism coast to coast,
Slick government edicts never diagnosed,
Compliant Canadians at all times obey,
As the adscam Liberals point this and that way.

Multicultural management to cull the votes,
Among the millions of immigrants this promotes,
Plus their friends in prison and Liberals can count,
Propaganda for all to avoid a recount.

They tax and spend in their usual socialist way,
Travel the world for free so they’d like to stay,
Politically astute although not too bright,
Pompously pander to every left wing group in sight.

Conceal corruption; point the finger and accuse,
Hide Shawinigate, HRDC, adscam, billions in abuse,
Politically correct as they appoint their friends,
And we are led without question in their leftist trends.

Callous Corrupt Adscam Politicians

Callous Corrupt Adscam Politicians

By

James Bredin

“Forget adscam,” the Liberals always say,
It’s the economic record that should hold sway, Not the taxing and spending and traveling here and there,
Forget Shawinigate or HRDC despair.

Politically correct refugees wall to wall,
An army of welfare workers always on call,
Forced by an Ottawa government high diktat,
That high immigrant vote is nothing to laugh at.

The Liberal flags, film festivals and flim flam,
Want to stay in power forever and don’t give a damn,
They apparently have absolutely no shame,
Pompously point the finger and try to lay the blame.

Molly coddle prisoners too as often as they can,
Names not released because of publication ban,
Of course they wrote the Youth Criminal Justice Act,
Guess who the criminals vote for and that’s a fact.

With racist attitude so politically correct,
Can’t hire white guys or programs might be wrecked,
Have we gone completely utterly mentally ill?
As we line up for their election and go through the drill.

Things can’t be improved because we’re perfect they say,
In their bilingual multicultural racist way,
Change will not be allowed – not without permission,
As we’re tormented by adscam corrupt politicians.

Deep Down in Your Gut

Deep Down in your Gut

By

James Bredin

It helps if you’re amnesiac and never exam,
Scandals like Shawinigate, HRDC or adscam,
Conveniently forgotten by Liberals for now,
As they still tax and spend and travel and how.

Overlook that stuff because facts are forgotten,
Especially about a corrupt government so rotten,
Pompous propaganda pounded out every day,
Stamp us as servile and we’re so easy to betray.

Dominant special-interest groups should have shocked us all,
Want us all to be bilingual just like Montreal,
Politically correct multicultural too,
Lenient soft justice system thrown into that stew.

Forget Referendum Three coming down the line,
Though they came within one percent the last time,
Chretien’s Clarity Act will clear up all that mess,
Was it him who started adscam; now let me guess.

And though they can have a referendum; we can not,
We’re in that part of the country that time forgot,
But, they say, they’re going to give us a tax cut,
Now don’t you feel thankful, deep down in your gut?

The Referendum Drumbeat

The Referendum Drumbeat

By

James Bredin

Their referendum drumbeat is getting louder,
Pumped up separatists seem quite happy and prouder,
The adscam scandal seems to have put wind in their sails,
Liberal under the table money and few details.

This is Quebec’s third referendum on the matter,
We can’t be involved as we listen to them chatter,
We can’t understand them because they speak in French,
Brought by decisions made from the Supreme Court bench.

By those secretly appointed at his suggestion,
Decided it all depended on the question,
Will Chretien’s Clarity Act be the next curse?
Or will it, like his adscam stuff, make it all worse?

Democracy for five minutes every five years,
Can’t vote for our PM no matter how he appears,
Taking drugs, a homosexual or a religious nut,
Could organized special interests put us in a rut?

Party discipline makes sure no one represents you,
As they tell you that every word they say is true,
And the status quo system can never be changed,
As the drumbeat gets louder; could we be short-changed?

No Irish Need Apply

No Irish Need Apply

Election Bribery Now

Election Bribery Now

By

James Bredin

The Liberals want to bribe us just to stay in power,
They don’t care about corruption and never cower,
They’ll use our own money to bribe us when we vote,
They could teach the Mafia how to stay afloat.

Activist doublespeak to multicultural mass,
Silky socialist jargon should get them a pass,
Going to give us a cheque to ensure we forget,
Gomery adscam stuff and we’ll never regret.

Or maybe we will at the next Liberal vandal,
In a Shawinigate or HRDC type scandal,
But that’s all water now washed under the bridge,
Though adscam still lingers on the next election ridge.

Democracy for five minutes every five years,
Voters boldly bought or bribed without cheers or tears,
And they pick the election date because they are allowed,
No set-election dates and they are so proud.

They call it good government or didn’t you know?
Propaganda pumped out and backed up with our dough,
No referendums or recalls for submissive crowd,
We vote how we’re told when they tell us out loud.

Weird Canadian Politics

Weird and Wonderful Canadian Politics

By

James Bredin

Adscam politicians just announced that they’ll change,
Pay back the missing money and then rearrange,
Gobbledegook phrases and the cheque is in the mail,
Careful because they’d like to send you an e-mail.

Plus, they’ve decided they want to stay for life,
To tax and spend with callous corruption and strife,
They’ll perch in Ottawa for the rest of their days,
Helped by their many same-sex friends and the gays.

There’s not a public group they have not bought,
Paid with taxpayers’ money and they were not caught,
Through socialist foundations you never even heard,
All under the table as though it never occurred.

Outside the reach of the Auditor General’s hands,
Organized long ago in political plans,
Therefore they call an election and nothing revealed,
Gomery can’t touch it because it’s well concealed.

Denials, inquiries, corruption -- every day events,
Pounding adscam propaganda that never relents,
They will promise you anything including the moon,
Submit serious statistics in writing soon.

Should these crooked politicians all be sent to jail?
Left to rot there for ten years without any bail,
Especially those who constantly travel overseas,
And sit in the tropics with a drink in the breeze.

Should we forget about it?

Should We Forget that it Might Happen?

By

James Bredin

The drumbeat of Referendum Three can be heard,
In the distance even by us in the public herd,
And as it gets louder; what could it all mean?
Should we just forget about it and say it’s obscene.

And just concentrate on what the Liberals say today,
Their envelopes full of money and we should all obey,
They will give us a tax break which will be great,
Therefore no need for changes or even debate.

Those guys who talk French, don’t know what they’re doing,
Don’t even know we’re not allowed to be reviewing,
The status quo system has to stay because it’s swell,
Or the Ottawa adscam guys will get mad as hell.

Concentrate on multiculturalism please,
Wall to wall bilingualism and down on your knees,
And thank the Ottawa adscam guys for being so kind.
And those extortionate taxes, we shouldn’t mind.

And in this coming election you know how to vote,
It’s easy – just behave like a herd of goats,
And do what you’re told because adscam guys wouldn’t lie,
They want to stick around and never say “Bye.”

Doublespeak Discussions

By

James Bredin

Their doublespeak discussions of misinformation,
Taxpayers’ money sent to twelve secret foundations,
Activists jargon about sex trade and drug culture,
Traditions and customs gobbled up like a vulture.

Political propaganda where anything goes,
Envelopes full of money and the king has no clothes,
Where truth is an illusion lost in a photo op,
Shawinigate plus HRDC and then add adscam plop.

Story of small activist special interest groups,
Dishonest, onward and upward organized shock troops,
Liberal left wing socialist their scandal they sell,
And we’ll all enjoy it when they take us to hell.

They just want a majority and they want to rule,
Not a minority which to them is downright cruel,
Gave the vote to prisoners because they already knew,
Their lenient soft justice system they’ll never review.

Forced-Fed Propaganda

Forced-Fed Propaganda

By

James Bredin

Clichés and dogmas of diversity become law,
Government ministers cover up all of the flaws,
In their special interest code of counterculture,
Loyalist customs consumed by corrupt vain vulture.

Pompous politicians will show us the way,
Bilingual multicultural and adscam grey,
Obedient Canadians can’t question -- like slaves,
Trained long ago to behave all the way to the grave.

Forced fed propaganda by special interest groups,
Homosexual weddings and abortion soups,
It’s difficult to believe but this is all true,
In Canada, the land of the red, white and blue.

Democracy and their system are now miles apart.
No referendums, no recall and they never depart,
No term limits and they all want to stay for life,
No proportional representation in this strife.

And they wonder why Quebec might want to separate,
Where political appointees never abdicate,
And the Gomery Inquiry was just old news,
While they’re busy taxing and spending and on a cruise.

The New Godless Religion

The New Godless Religion

By

James Bredin

Inside every Canadian there’s a fight,
Are left wing dogmas from Ottawa still alright?
Multicultural bilingualism coast to coast,
Politically correct code that should be toast.

Left wing doubtful dogma to distort reality,
Feminism and homosexuality,
That can’t be questioned because they are always right,
Immigration, ethnic, delicate questions from Whites.

Democracy destroyed by special interest crowd,
Callous creed of those so righteous and so proud,
No referendums and no more questions please,
The majority might win and get up off their knees.

Assimilation melting-pot theory is banned,
Because their multicultural mosaic is grand,
Their new godless religion is now in command,
And they can count those left wing votes on demand.

Their dogmas and the system cannot be discussed,
They’ll turn around and look at you in absolute disgust,
No recall or free votes in their bent propaganda,
Canadians obliged to stay on their agenda.

The Time to Change is Now

The Time to Change is Now

By

James Bredin

As we walk like a blind man towards Referendum Three,
The third Quebec referendum we have yet to see,
They could separate from the country as we well know,
But our politicians are locked into the status quo.

And it’s all right on schedule every fifteen years,
But we’re not allowed to change or have any fears,
Because Chretien’s Clarity Act has cleared the way,
Amid adscam corruption where they dodge and delay.

As they tax and they spend and they travel the globe,
And we are like zombies all missing a frontal lobe,
Liberals feel they’re entitled to taxpayers’ money,
Government executive jets waiting and it’s funny.

Time to stop and think that maybe we should change,
Can’t we accommodate Quebec and just rearrange?
And stop all this corruption and just look around,
Different constitution and no need to confound.

Forget Meeche where Mulroney and friends all failed,
Or Charlottetown where Clark and the country derailed,
Forget being Loyalists; we have to turn the page,
In this our bilingual multicultural stage.

Have referendums, recall and term limits too,
Let’s be passionately bold and think up something new,
Proportional representation could be a start,
Before their Referendum Three tears us apart.

Where we the people control and not the reverse,
Gomery Inquiry showed it couldn’t get worse,
And we’re going to have an election soon – big deal,
Nothing to what Referendum Three will reveal?

Let’s try to change things before they go off the track,
Like right now before emotions go out of whack,
Can you see or hear one politician who cares?
Alberta has started looking at these affairs.

Can’t turn back the clock like the pages in a book,
Now may well be the time by hook or by crook,
Before Referendum Three comes knocking at the door,
At that point in time it may be too late to ignore.

What Happened to the Gomery Report?

What Happened to the Gomery Report?

By

James Bredin

Can they turn the report into yesterday’s news?
Christmas, a New Year and maybe time to confuse,
Can we forget their corruption as we vote?
Or has their propaganda put us all on remote?

Minority government seems to work well,
Because majorities tend to send us all to hell,
By taxing and spending and corruption and more,
Not counting those who might walk cross the floor.

They don’t like minority governments one little bit,
Do anything to avoid them; refuse to submit,
They’ll call another election and soon or more,
Envelopes full of money in the bottom drawer.

Accountable to no one except themselves,
Programs they don’t like they put up on high shelves,
Pump out their propaganda so people are trained,
That HRDC missing billion never explained.

We wait for Quebec to figure out where they’re going
Referendum Three; we remain without knowing
And what will happen if they vote to separate?
Is it status quo, debate or accommodate?

St. Louis, Missouri

St Louis, Missouri

By

James Bredin

I knew by the way he said it that he was quite proud,
“St Louis Missouri,” he said so out loud,
And the priest nodded as if we should all agree,
I nodded too and that made all of us three.

Conversation fifty years ago, I can’t remember,
In New York one evening in late September,
Rockefeller Square I think but why was I there?
Off a Canadian ship tied up in the docks somewhere.

Can’t wind back the clock to find what it was about,
The other, an American sailor had no doubt,
Maybe he and the priest had more faith than me,
St Louis Missouri, two people and doubtful me.

Minority Government Forever

Minority Government Forever

By

James Bredin

It’s not just the adscam politicians we should change,
It’s their status quo system we should rearrange,
They’ve got us locked in with their constant propaganda,
And we don’t know where to go to get off their agenda.

We don’t have an alternative so we can’t think,
Their propaganda tells us not to notice adscam stink,
And when we get their tax cut we can rejoice,
But we’re already taxed to they eyes so what a choice!

Binding referendums and triple E Senate wont do,
Forget recall, term limits or system review,
Forget property rights in the Charter of Rights,
Nothing will change at their adscam Canadian site.

And no appointee will ever be asked a question,
Not to the High Court, the RCMP -- not even a suggestion,
As immigrants who vote Liberal come by the millions,
In this their vaunted vanity so vaudevillian,

The election call and the tax cut, the same night,
Nothing blatant about this – it’s on track and alright,
Voters bought and herded like cattle at a fair,
No proportional representation but who cares?

They wonder why Quebec might want to separate,
Liberals hate referendums or serious debate,
They want a majority and just hate this minority,
Return to tax and spend with pompous authority.

Dictatorial Conditions

http://www.dreamagic.com/poetry/bredin.html

Dictatorial Conditions

By

James Bredin

Captured by your thoughts of corrupt politicians,
Taxed up to your eyes in contemptuous conditions,
Repetitive propaganda like a hollow ring,
Caught; trapped in circumstances and can’t change a thing.

The Gomery Inquiry showed just how they control,
They should not even be allowed out on parole,
Pompous proud Liberals proclaiming they’re so swell,
While Canada seems like a country going to hell,

As they shove their system and continue their spree,
While Quebec and Referendum Three we’ll all agree,
So they’ll change nothing as if it’s all in disguise,
Overlook corruption, separation, taxed to the eyes.

And now they scream it wasn’t them; it was the other guys,
The bad part of their party that told all those lies,
Because they themselves are good and they wouldn’t fake,
And they’re going to give us a little tax break.

And we believe them as they herd us like sheep,
As we stick to their status quo and they lull to sleep,
No recall, referendums or term limits please,
No flat tax for Canadians as in winter we freeze.

Our Politicians Herd us Like Goats

Our Politicians Herd us Like Goats

By

James Bredin

The petulant pretence of pompous politicians,
Attempting to manipulate corrupt conditions,
Posturing in culture of entitlement sincere,
Sometimes millions inclined to up and disappear.

They think these entitlements allow them to abuse,
Taxpayers’ money so there is no need for excuse,
Gravy train and junkets and room service please,
Receipts hidden in an adscam Access Act squeeze.

Executive jet waiting on runway number nine,
No questions please because they are almost divine,
They’re on government business but that’s not all,
The world is their oyster and they’re having a ball.

Their tax and spend system is seriously flawed,
Underhanded crooked corrupt and maybe outlawed,
While the taint of scandal lingers in the air,
Bureaucratic administration and they don’t care.

Spread the blame here and there and say others did wrong,
Do anything, say anything but deny your swan song,
The cancerous culture of corruption filters through,
Though spin doctors say those allegations are untrue.

Majority governments all tend to turn bad,
Experience has shown this is true and quite sad,
The idea of a flat tax they just ignore,
Some have gotten the notion they might cross the floor.

As we watch their inclination towards autocracy,
They know about hypocrisy but not democracy,
We should stop them because of what we now know,
The Gomery Report should change the status quo.

Because people manipulated like a herd of goats,
Told what to do or think or say and how to vote,
No need for referendums or democracy here,
No recall, set dates, term limits because they’re sincere.

The Illusion of Democracy

The Illusion of Democracy

By

James Bredin

Canada seems to work by government decree,
Bureaucratic dictatorship compelled to agree,
It happened for Litres and Celsius and much more,
No discussion about adscam and can’t ignore.

Multiculturalism and bilingualism too,
Trudeau’s Charter of Rights though not needed, thank you,
And we never question what they have arranged,
Told that this is the way it is and can’t be changed.

Referendums forbidden except in Quebec,
Where every fifteen years they stop and they check,
Whether they’ll stay in Canada or separate,
They don’t seem to care if it’s right or appropriate.

They came within one percent in ninety five,
If they get much more, will the country survive?
Or will Chretien’s Clarity Act then click in?
Was it the right question or is it a mortal sin?

Or will our politicians finally realize?
That this is happening and they didn’t authorize.
Democracy might be a better way to go,
Triple E Senate and referendums we well know.

Plus recall, term limits and set date elections,
Could we maybe sit down and set these directions?
Or is it that democracy just can’t be arranged?
Can’t vote for a prime minister and nothing has changed.

Gomery Inquiry Report

Gomery Inquiry Report

By

James Bredin

Evidence they were in politics up to their eyes,
Sponsorship secrecy, sanctimonious guise,
Complex web of faulty financial transactions,
All connected to Chretien’s office, these factions.

No criteria and the door open for abuse,
With their connections they could use any excuse,
Not responsible for mismanagement,
Suggestion was an order and no argument.

Political hacks allowed to play without rules,
If need be, they could walk away with the crown jewels,
No oversight, control, command of any player,
At least none admitted to while they were there.

Costs, commissions and charges inflated,
Political party power interrelated,
Complex web of financial transactions,
No reluctance or fear of any reactions.

Partisan purposes -- not national unity,
Kickbacks to Liberal Party with impunity,
Hope we can Fix Canada now while it still works
And hope we survive these obnoxious crooks

Thank you, Justice Gomery

By

James Bredin

Thank you, Justice John Gomery for your report,
Though Chretien is not pleased; says, he’ll see you in court,
You didn’t pull many punches and told it like it was,
Why is that so strange and do I hear applause?

You avoided their political propaganda,
But will Canadians still stay on their agenda?
Will Quebec be sucked in by their sponsorship plan?
Or is equalization enough for their clan?

What next will they do for national unity?
Double equalization at the first opportunity?
Are we just toy soldiers marching to their tune?
Are we moving along towards one of their communes?

What hidden surprises have they got in store?
Did you just scratch the surface and is there a lot more?
Will the right guy come out from under a rock and talk?
