Should we forget about it?

Should We Forget that it Might Happen?

By

James Bredin

The drumbeat of Referendum Three can be heard,
In the distance even by us in the public herd,
And as it gets louder; what could it all mean?
Should we just forget about it and say it’s obscene.

And just concentrate on what the Liberals say today,
Their envelopes full of money and we should all obey,
They will give us a tax break which will be great,
Therefore no need for changes or even debate.

Those guys who talk French, don’t know what they’re doing,
Don’t even know we’re not allowed to be reviewing,
The status quo system has to stay because it’s swell,
Or the Ottawa adscam guys will get mad as hell.

Concentrate on multiculturalism please,
Wall to wall bilingualism and down on your knees,
And thank the Ottawa adscam guys for being so kind.
And those extortionate taxes, we shouldn’t mind.

And in this coming election you know how to vote,
It’s easy – just behave like a herd of goats,
And do what you’re told because adscam guys wouldn’t lie,
They want to stick around and never say “Bye.”
