Trouble in Liberal Land

Trouble in Liberal Land

By

James Bredin

Finance Minister Martin didn’t take adscam blame,
Didn’t know where the adscam money went… he claimed,
Ralph Goodale came along after Martin said good bye,
Someone tipped someone and certain shares went sky high.

Why are these adscam guys in office instead of jail?
Put in there by the mounties and given no bail,
Never mention Kyoto or shredded adscam books,
Would we be better off if we had Mafia crooks?

They’re going to have a meeting Thursday afternoon,
Or maybe another night in the dark of the moon,
Appoint some judges who will give more parole and bail,
To certain constituents who vote without fail.

Canada is forbidden to have one nuclear sub?
Can’t build one, beg one, buy one or be in that club,
Have to buy old crappy subs from the Brits now and then,
That won’t float, make smoke, catch fire and kill good men.

We don’t know where Hans Island is in the Arctic sea,
Do we have an ice breaker that we could go and see?
Because these Vikings are claiming it for some reason,
We don’t know why but maybe it’s the season.

There’s a constant spin that these Liberals should win,
It’s in their morning media again and again,
And these politicians who delay every decision,
But tax and spend and travel with great precision.

Young Girl shot on Toronto Streets

Young Girl shot on Toronto Streets

By

James Bredin

More money for the programs – midnight basketball,
No need for video cameras on the streets as they stall,
The cops are at fault and maybe the Americans too,
Gang guys need more welfare and it’s long overdue.

What does it take to change our politicians around?
Bullets and gangs on the street and gun shot sounds,
And those who should be in jail are all out on bail,
And the few in jail get early release without fail.

This pattern of conduct has become the norm,
We’re forbidden to change anything or reform,
Politically correct tranquility they declare,
But the guys with guns from the ghetto don’t care.

The people care but not their politicians,
Can’t change or rearrange political conditions,
The god of political correctness can’t be disturbed,
Like the adscam guys, they all nodded and concurred.

As they continue to appoint lenient judges,
No questions about special interests or grudges,
The mayor was in Spain when the shootings occurred,
He called by phone but his travels may have been disturbed.

You can't vote for your prime minister

You can’t vote for your prime minister

By

James Bredin

As a mere observer, I can tell you what’s wrong,
And I’ll do it for nothing -- not even a song,
When was the last time you voted for your prime minister?
You’re a nobody who can’t think of this as sinister.

The person running for election couldn’t care less,
He/She doesn’t represent you but will never confess,
It’s the prime minister he/she obeys – not you,
You’re a nobody just standing there in a queue.

Your MP will vote exactly as he/she is told,
There are no free votes so no one is so bold,
It’s not what you or your constituency wants,
You are a nobody – not even affluent.

And the notwithstanding clause has never been used,
As terrorists with rights arrive and no one is accused,
Because they have rights all the way to the Supreme Court,
And you’re a nobody with little or no support.

No questions were asked when he appointed those judges,
About hidden vested interests or even grudges,
About feminism or even the same sex crowd,
You’re a nobody and can’t think these thoughts aloud.

It’s their adscam policies and Kyoto that will win,
Envelopes full of money that they use on a whim,
Oh yes, they say that they have now changed their ways,
Just remember you’re a nobody on Election Day.

John A. MacDonald Knew the Liberals

John A. MacDonald Knew the Liberals

By

James Bredin

John A. MacDonald described the Liberals best,
He knew about Liberals back then but who could have guessed?
He wouldn’t say all Liberals would steal a horse,
But all horse thieves would vote Liberal of course.

But that was way back then, long ago and this is now,
But nothing seems to have changed much somehow,
Our adscam corrupt Liberals are up to their old game,
And like in McDonald’s time – everything’s the same.

They want to stay in power and it doesn’t matter how,
Make racist slurs in blogs about Olivia Chow,
And cash in unmarked envelopes passed between friends,
Maybe not horse thieves but you can see the trends.

They want Kyoto boondoggle on their agenda,
Global warming any minute in their propaganda,
Like committed little communists they persist,
They insist on a majority so we can’t resist.

Kyoto Bureaucratic Boondoggle

By

James Bredin

Is Kyoto a bureaucratic boondoggle?
With enough bungling to bring you brain to boggle,
Like the gun registry – billions and billions more,
Hire more bureaucrats and listen to them snore.

The US and Australia refuse to go along,
Democracies unlike Canada that are quite strong,
Our official announcements by government decrees,
No referendum input so get down on you knees.

Though India and China are both excused,
But our adscam officials are never confused,
These bone headed totalitarian politicians,
Get a slap on the back for these dumb UN missions.

Like little religious or communist nuts,
As they hide the fact that they are adscam klutz,
Believe that the sky may indeed fall by next week,
And we better fall in line or our future is bleak.

A Society of Sheep

A Society of Sheep

By

James Bredin

A society of sheep ruled by a group of wolves,
Controlled by Charter and decree where nothing’s resolved,
Adscam types who travel wide, and just lie and deny,
Want to stay in Ottawa and never say goodbye.

Why is it that we get leadership from hell?
Adscam party guys and the truth they’ll not tell,
Then attempt to tell us that they’ve really changed,
As they tax and spend and hide and nothing’s rearranged.

And that’s not all; there are those who have been taken in,
Can’t believe that they’ve taken a hit on the chin,
In this so called democratic dictatorship,
Where a constituent means no relationship.

Where your MP just represents the prime minister,
Not allowed to think that this might be sinister,
No referendums or free votes while they succeed,
And they vote on their agenda -- not what you need

As they appoint their friends to cover their tracks,
Lie day and night and avoid any and all the facts,
Stick you with Kyoto which you may not really want,
They’re down at the UN where their power they flaunt.

The Trudeau-Chretien Charter Please

The Trudeau-Chretien Charter Please

By

James Bredin

The Trudeau Charter of Rights is not easily changed,
And your rights to property have never been arranged,
And no referendum – you couldn’t vote – not allowed,
Quebec refused to sign it and they felt quite proud.

It gave rights to every terrorist on the globe,
With a belt of bombs strapped under his/her robe,
To push their cause all the way to the Supreme Court,
To the unquestioned appointees where they seek support.

They wrote the Charter so its difficult to fix,
Never attempted by the adscam Liberal hicks,
Needs approval of seven provinces to start,
Who have more than half the people with a heart.

Then of course the feds get to have their say,
And if it’s the corrupt adscam guys – no way,
Because they claim it’s their status quo tradition,
Encased in multicultural political conditions.

They are still trying to figure out world war two,
No nuclear subs, no ice breakers and none due,
As they blame the Americans for this or that or those,
But don’t ask about adscam because there and then they oppose.

How much bad stuff is listed about these grits?
Pages and pages long and it’s depression pits,
Though they say they’ve changed their ways and seen the light,
More taxing and spending with feverish delight.

Liberal Problems

A List a Mile Long

A List a Mile Long

By

James Bredin

A list of Liberal scandals too big to put in a blog,
Corrupt adscam politicians inside a fog,
Pushing out their propaganda day and night,
As they tax and spend and travel with great delight.

It doesn’t matter to them that you’re disgusted,
They have lots of left-wing friends who are maladjusted.
Why do you think, they’ve been in Ottawa so long?
New arrivals and prison voters feel so strong.

Fax them or send a letter; it doesn’t matter,
List their scandals; they don’t care and they won’t scatter,
They’ve got a lock on power more than anyone has seen,
Adscam corruption amounts to a hill of beans.

Remember when they said they’d get rid of the GST?
Remember Shawinigate and the billion at HRDC?
I could go on and on but the list is so long,
As they parachute in their friends – also wrong.

Most Provinces have huge deficits

Most Provinces have huge deficits

By

James Bredin

Could a province refuse to give Ottawa money?
Equalization extortion ransom -- not funny,
They denounce fiscal disparities to get the vote,
Try to buy Quebec and those who live remote.

Under the table calculations gone more than mad,
Politicians pretending and trying to look sad,
Canadians will forever be denied a flat tax,
Adscam politicians tax, travel, spend and relax.

But you didn’t know you poor obedient soul,
While they’re at the trough and think they’re on a roll,
While you are taxed plus GST right up to your nose,
And they couldn’t care less if this winter you froze.

What’s written in the papers could be an outright lie,
By those who control the media and want you to buy,
Their half baked truths about envelopes full of cash,
Investigating their loot and so much hidden stash.

Irregularities in financial dealings she wrote,
Hidden questionable invoice to control the vote,
Political overtones forgotten in the fog,
Pointing the finger as the tail shakes the dog.

I Might be a Prophet, Stephen

I Might be a Prophet, Stephen

By

James Bredin

But Stephen Harper I hope you will do the right thing,
Not like adscam Liberals flying on one wing,
Get a new constitution and download lots of stuff,
From feds to provinces and call their bluff.

They’re worked up about unity as though these crooks care,
Another minority on a wing and a prayer,
Another election and indeed maybe two,
Before we get it right but we already knew.

It’s obvious by now that the system needs to change,
Endless elections with unity claims and pains,
We need to be able to vote for our prime minister,
Not someone presented to us who could be sinister.

I hope you have the intestinal fortitude,
Because we don’t need another fool with attitude,
Because Quebec will have their Referendum Three,
Don’t depend on Chretien’s Clarity Act or the Cree.

So deal with the provinces on an equal basis,
All of them and don’t throw stuff in their faces,
No adscam Liberal arrangements under the table,
We should do it soon while everything is stable.

You see, Stephen, I can see into the future,
Sorry to have to paint such a severe picture,
But, believe it or not, Stephen, I’m on your side,
And these future events will be nationwide.

Is Toronto Hong Kong or Bombay?

Premier McGinty of Ontario

Is Toronto Hong Kong or Bombay?

By

James Bredin

Is Toronto Hong Kong, Bombay or Jamaica, man?
Various places and faces and shades of tan,
And they’re all in Toronto and all doing their thing,
Multicultural madness flying on one wing.

It’s enough to make an ordinary person wonder,
How to survive and thrive amid multinational thunder,
The old time Loyalists must be turning in their graves,
And no one tends to care much for those who make waves.

But we’re stuck with mediocre politicians,
Trying to hold onto their power and traditions,
Send our garbage a day away to the States,
Out of sight, out of mind and little or no debates.

As they double their wages now and then,
Look around and then they do it all again,
Tax and spend and travel to the verge of madness,
The few who ponder politics are deep into sadness.

They pretend that they really have an agenda,
As they pump out their daily propaganda,
Not a trustworthy politician since Mike Harris time,
Listen to the gun shots and claim everything is fine.

Kyoto Courage

Kyoto Courage

By

James Bredin

The U.S. and Australia refused to tag along,
China and India were excused; right or wrong,
Still, our bone headed politicians just pushed on,
They can’t be convinced that Kyoto might be wrong.

Another government boondoggle has appeared,
Like gun registry – useless again it is feared,
But the UN loves a boondoggle more than most,
No referendums and can’t think of this as morose.

Government bureaucracies can’t stop climate change,
It’s cyclical and ongoing and it’s not very strange,
Add adscam politicians in a strange religious cult,
Could this be the ultimate Canadian insult?

We’re not allowed to show any disapproval,
Just every five years for one politician’s removal,
But we’re not allowed to vote for our prime minister,
Could this be dictatorial or sinister?

And why pray tell do we get leadership from hell?
Corrupt adscam politicians who never say farewell,
Lounge lizard Liberals with envelopes full of cash,
Then claim that they have changed in this election bash.

Insider Trading Scandal

Insider Trading Scandal

By

James Bredin

What’s all this insider trading scandal about?
Should I be suspicious; should I have some doubt?
Why does it seems like it’s being kept under the rug
Where lounge lizard Liberals slugs feel so snug

Why is there no independent investigation?
Is this something like one of their secret foundations?
Where money disappears and sometimes reappears
And Liberal politicians improve their careers.

The silence from Securities Commission is loud
Could this be compared to some Mafia crowd?
Could conflict of interest be involved somewhere here?
Should someone ask the Ontario Liberal premier?

It’s about a series of trades on income trusts,
Unusual sudden numbers but where’s the distrust?
I’m not keenly aware of stock exchange figures,
Whose hands were involved or if he had light fingers.

But adscam Liberals have shown what they’re about,
Envelopes full of cash sure caused me some doubt,
And no paper trail as Judge Gomery noted,
Why am I suspicious their stuff that’s sugar coated?

Kyoto Agreement Idealism

Kyoto Agreement Idealism

By

James Bredin

The unemployed will eventually realize,
And come around to believe and idealize,
But having no income is not advantageous,
And hungry kids might no be so courageous.

For the greater cause of Kyoto agreement,
Stop those right wing elements who are vehement,
They can take their jobs to China, India or Hong Kong,
Or to New York State and go back where they belong.

Because the left wing religion will stop pollution,
Kyoto protocol will be the final solution,
And everyone will be happy for the greater good,
This is only reasonable and should be understood.

It’s just amazing why everyone can’t see the light,
Canadians should cheer for Kyoto with mad delight,
And do what they’re told in this repressive place,
As the Soviet Union; obedient in disgrace.

Too bad we have to learn the hard way,
That being obedient to politicians doesn’t pay,
The adscam guys will make us unemployed slaves,
Filling Kyoto requirements to our graves.

The Canadian-Kyoto Protocol

By

James Bredin

Jean Chretien foisted Kyoto on us all,
Impressed environmentalists that the sky might fall,
And special-interest types all paid attention to him,
He’d lead them to glory, clean air and no sin.

Ratification rammed through with short discussions,
No one allowed to discuss the repercussions,
Certain industries might be forced to shut down,
Unemployed would understand as they stood around.

Americans and Australians did not go along,
India and China were excused by this UN throng,
But Chretien, the UN hero, continued to push on,
Not a chance in hell that this would be withdrawn.

Years have come and gone and this is not concluded,
With the adscam conspiracy always secluded,
Martin now leads all these Liberal politicians,
They haven’t changed one bit in their left-wing ambitions.

Can't Criticize Kyoto

Can’t criticize Kyoto

By

James Bredin

Will we sacrifice our economy for Kyoto goals?
Have our politicians gone out and sold their souls?
Have they lost their minds as they stand and criticize?
Blame the Americans and try to polarize.

Thump their chest and blame everyone but themselves,
Vote for them and we have no one to blame but ourselves,
Are we so blind we can’t read the writing on the wall?
Global warming is natural and beyond our call.

Geology reveals that it happened many times before,
As our blind politicians use it to try and score,
The sky might fall tomorrow so we have to vote for them,
Otherwise they’ll huff and they’ll puff and they’ll condemn.

The Americans are not going along on this,
And China and India are getting a UN kiss,
But our bonehead politicians belong to this cult,
And we’re all being dragged along as a result.

For a left-wing ideology that sounds so great,
That can’t be discussed and we’ll have no debate,
No referendums or recall for politicians,
And no jobs in conditions without emissions.

Free Dominion

Free Dominion Now

By

James Bredin

Free Dominion is a site somewhere in cyber space,
A beacon of light in this dark political place,
Where we openly discuss left wing propaganda,
Kyoto edicts and their other secret agenda.

Sometimes Quebec or Alberta separation,
Or even twelve rich government secret foundations,
Or terrorists arriving and claiming charter rights,
Because they read Trudeau’s Charter with delight.

In a world inundated with their party line,
Multicultural adscam crooks you can’t malign,
Wall to wall editorials by those who sold their souls,
At Free Dominion we can see through the holes.

Keen observers of all these frightful events,
An uphill battle against what adscam represents,
As they righteously claim that they are different now,
They saw the light overnight and changed somehow.

Multicultural Mania

Multicultural Mania

By

James Bredin

Managed multiculturalism without fear,
Where Liberal prime ministers and premiers adhere,
And Canadian melting pot will not be allowed,
Because they have cornered the vote and feel so proud.

You are only xenophobic and archaic,
Preaching paranoia about multicult mosaic,
You don’t understand adscam and their friends,
Want to stay in office to continue corrupt trends.

They want to tax and spend and lie a whole lot more
Even lie again about the lies they told before,
Sanctimonious slobs but in power so long,
And if you’re not with them you just don’t belong

Love the UN the G7, G8 and Kyoto Protocol,
Not fussy about Americans as I recall,
As they import more voters from far and wide,
Pampered programs and health cards along for the ride.

Propaganda in their papers all night and day,
Editors long ago bought but they never say,
Twisted truth, bent bombast, socialist stripe,
Everything that Lenin and Trotsky would like.

The two Liberals on the Internet are disturbed,
Hiding their adscam shame but pompously perturbed,
Unfortunately the others have locked in their vote,
Don’t have to think while their brains are on remote.

Committed born again in their Liberal faith,
Adscam meant nothing and no need for debate,
No need for referendums, all the Liberals say,
Point finger at Conservatives and good old USA.

Kyoto Protocol Implemented

Kyoto Protocol Implemented

By

James Bredin

Kyoto implemented by Ottawa Decree?
National Energy Program – you can’t disagree,
Intervention again in provincial jurisdiction,
Could face an almighty Alberta contradiction.

High and mighty Ottawa proclaims they know it all,
Plus their special interest cult of Kyoto Protocol,
Support from friends down at the United Nations,
But the US will circumvent these complications.

Six percent below nineteen ninety level,
Numbers mixed in the sky, elusive as the devil,
Complex emission permits exchanged here and there,
No referendum ever so we are unaware.

Dreamed up by Chretien like adscam and Clarity law,
And you are forbidden or mention there could be a flaw,
As we are marched blindly onward by their concerns,
Disciplined with income tax to the eyes returns.

Managed by mixed messages and lack of direction,
Where no one is allowed to mention… rejection,
Environmentalists claim it’s for security,
Nothing to do with their cult of obscurity.

Liberals in Denial

Liberals in Denial

By

James Bredin

There’s an idiot born every minute they say,
They are not all Liberals into corrupt foul play,
Though some seem to have the symptoms of madness,
We saw the results in Ottawa – adscam badness.

Of course they are all into heavy denial,
One of the reasons so few of them go for trial,
They have their followers like any other cult,
And if you point this out they take it as an insult.

They appoint their friends to all the high places,
Senate, Supreme Court and they do it in our faces,
And your input means nothing so just go away,
If you’re a Liberal come back on voting day.

Their Kyoto multiculturalism cult decrees,
Global warming might grab us any minute you see,
Million imported voters to keep them in power,
Be careful ‘cause right wing Conservatives devour.

Pompous programs pushed daily in their papers,
Where more stuff is hidden especially their capers,
Where all news is bent to give it a Liberal glow,
And they never mention the missing adscam dough.

Liberal lies, rant and rage

Judge Gomery of the Adscam Inquiry

Liberal lies, rant and rage

By

James Bredin

I can’t understand all this Liberal rant and rage,
Gimpy politicians whose movements are hard to gauge,
Adscam guys claiming honesty and integrity,
We heard of their quality, corruption and inequity.

Fake Liberal volunteers in a kick-back scheme,
Judge Gomery pointed it out about this team,
Culture of entitlements and Mafia style,
Cash -- no paper trail or computer file for a while.

Pompous political propaganda every day,
Politically correct in what they display,
In almost all the big papers in the land,
Conspiracy in every page at their command.

A country going to rack and ruin right before our eyes,
Soft justice, votes to prisoners, decriminalize,
And open up the gates to allow voters out or in,
What’s that I hear -- the sound of a Liberal violin.

And separatist provinces saying they will go,
Some have oil and others equalization dough,
As we stand alone reading the writing on the wall,
Wondering what is going to happen to us all.

Is Adscam Finished

Is Adscam Completely Finished?

By

James Bredin

The papers now tell us all that adscam is finished,
And their agenda in Quebec is somewhat diminished,
But being soft on adscam criminals is in,
Criminals allowed out on bail is always win win.

As all adscam appointees make major decisions,
The same-sex marriage laws of the land need revisions,
And then these adscam appointees just walk away,
Superior and isolated with nothing to say.

Who told the adscam appointees to be soft on crime?
Have the wheels fallen off or do they do it all the time?
When did they give the vote to criminals in jail?
Or give gun guys parole or allow them out on bail?

Who cares except the relatives of the dead?
Certainly not adscam appointees who are well fed,
What can we do to change this system around?
As they claim human rights to the gun shot sounds.

Why the isolation and why the soft on crime?
Why does it continue to happen all the time?
Why are we so helpless and no if, ands or buts?
Did adscam socialist Liberals put us in this rut?

The federal funding was meant to cover the port's maintenance, insurance and professional services costs (Chronicle-Herald, January 31, 2005).

Among the federal departments Nault is lobbying is the Indian and Northern Affairs department he headed until December 2003, according to a lobbying report Nault filed with the federal government. Nault registered as a lobbyist for Nelson House, now known as Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation, on July 18, 2005 -- one year and seven months after leaving his cabinet post. Under the Conflict of Interest and Post-Employment Code for Public Office Holders, Nault is barred from working for any entity with which his department had "direct and significant official dealings" for two years after leaving office. He is also barred for two years from lobbying his former department or any of his former cabinet colleagues (Winnipeg Free Press, September 14, 2005).

183. Expenses of chairman of the Royal Canadian Mint Emmanuel Triassi, who also approved David Dingwall’s expenses (Globe and Mail, October 4, 2005).
184. Last week, Public Works was also silent on details of another case involving forensic accounting. Government accounts published on Thursday showed a department employee had embezzled $3.45 million from Public Works office in Koblenz, Germany. Even though the employee was convicted and jailed in Germany, Public Works will not name him or give any details of the crime (Ottawa Citizen, October 4, 2005).
185. The federal government inadvertently revealed yesterday that it is conducting a large-scale forensic accounting probe into "possibly criminal matters" when it published details of a contract intended for a Quebec accounting firm. The notice awarding a $2-million contract for forensic accounting services was published on the government's tendering website, MERX. It gave notice that Consulting and Audit Canada was planning to award the sole-source contract to Leclerc Juricomptable, a Quebec City firm specializing in forensic work and litigation support. The contract award notice said the work had to be sole-sourced to Leclerc because it is "not in the public interest to jeopardize the current investment in the investigation or to significantly increase the risk to a successful completion of the investigation into possibly criminal matters." A spokesman for the Department of PublicWorks and Government Services said yesterday that the notice was published "prematurely" and would be withdrawn last night. He could not say, however, what is under investigation, but said the contract was not tied to another scandal that has kept Quebec forensic accountants busy over the past years. "It's not related to sponsorship or Gomery, that I can tell you," said spokesman Pierre Teotonio (Ottawa Citizen, October 4, 2005). It was subsequently revealed that the department involved was CIDA (CP Wire, October 4, 2005).

195. Liberal candidate Richard Mahoney lobbying for satellite radio company for a month before registering (Ottawa Citizen, October 19, 2005).
196. Delays and ballooning costs mean a giant software project at National Defence will eclipse its original budget and won't meet its goals until 2011 -- if at all. An internal audit obtained by Canadian Press raises red flags about a new system designed to streamline computer tracking of military inventory and purchases. MASIS -- or Materiel Acquisition Support Information System -- started in 1997 as a $147-million undertaking. What began as a focused effort to cover a single equipment category in each of the navy, army and air force soon mushroomed. By 2003, Defence officials estimated MASIS would be in place by 2006 at a cost of $325 million, more than twice its forecast budget. A full introduction of the complex software has now been extended to 2011. The heavily censored May 2005 internal audit, released under the Access to Information Act, catalogues a litany of "revised planned milestones.'' "The prime contract has been amended six times, each time increasing amounts for professional service fees,'' it says. (CP, The Record, October 24, 2005).
197. Hospitality and travel expenses of executives at CMHC (Journal de Montréal, October 24, 2005).
198. Questions about Squamish land deal lease (The Province, October 26, 2005).

Flat Tax

Flat tax

By

James Bredin

Our tax system is complicated and outdated,
Worse than that; it’s been hated since it was created,
We’re taxed to the eyes and it’s extremely complex,
As they tax and spend some more for adscam projects.

And we obediently file our annual returns,
But status quo politicians show no concerns,
And those who want to fix the system are scorned,
Quietly forgotten while the people are warned.

And flat tax is forbidden, these politicians say,
We need more than half your income so you better pay,
Their arrogance and gestures as they never do a thing,
Our extortionate system will stay and the sting.

Because they are up near god and can do what they like,
And without term limits they can stay there for life,
Our economy means nothing to lifelong politicians,
Refuse to pay down the national debt in these conditions.

As businesses for profit like to go elsewhere,
The US, China, Europe where they can see and compare,
As Canadian nightmare taxes forever increase,
As special-interests and lobbyists get the grease.

Staying in power is the name of the game,
Hidden information, immigrants and no one’s to blame,
Buy Quebec with even more equalization money,
But no flat tax and we’re advised that this is funny.

Political Questions

1.Should all Canadians be allowed to vote for their prime minister instead of his friends in his/her party?
2.Should appointees – Supreme Court, Senators, Governor General, RCMP Commissioner and others be asked questions by an independent provincial body with the power to turn down before they take up their appointments?
3.Should Indians be allowed to own their land personally and sell their land if they want to?
4.Should terrorists who arrive in Canada, have Charter Rights and legal aid etc?
5.Should the Charter of Rights be for Canadians only?
6.Should Canadians have property rights in the Charter of Rights – already in the UN Charter but absent from the Canadian Charter?
7.Should immigration be at the provincial level (as in Quebec only) for all provinces?
8.Should illegal immigrants be deported immediately or allowed to roam on bail for years fighting the issue to the Supreme Court?
9.Should elections be by date or when the prime minister decides?
10. Should politicians have term limits in office – any office – two terms like the US presidents --or be allowed to make it a lifetime career?
11. Should Canadians be required to vote like Australians or be fined or taxed for the offence?
12. Should Canadians have binding referendums (like Switzerland) when enough signatures can be achieved?
13. Should politicians whose conduct is under investigation by an inquiry receive subpoenas or invitations, as Chretien received from the APEC Inquiry?
14. Should the nation debt -- $600 billion – be lowered to zero?
15. Should the government have tax and expenditure limits or politicians have their salaries lowered accordingly?
16. Should the Canadian dollar be on a par with the US dollar?
17. Should Canadians know the itinerary of politicians traveling abroad and the costs?
18. Should foreign aid loans and grants be passed in parliament?
19. Should MPs be allowed to represent their constituents rather than the party policy and vote accordingly?
20. Should the parliamentary TV cameras be allowed to show the empty seats?

Canadian Republic

Future History

By

James Bredin

Can’t have a republic because it’s forbidden,
Democracy and referendums too -- all hidden,
Maybe for just five minutes every five years,
Nothing, absolutely nothing, is as it appears.

And don’t even think of changing the status quo,
We’re locked into Ottawa and they say they know,
Long overdue that constitutional review,
Surely we can improve with something new.

Quebec has referendums and why can’t we?
It seems we’re forbidden by some Ottawa decree,
They get equalization and we do not,
Are we in a time warp that Ottawa forgot?

Adscam politicians will show us the way,
As they make appointees and we have no say,
To the Senate and the courts and no questions please,
As they go on various missions overseas.

Your member of parliament represents them,
Not you – it’s party discipline and you can’t condemn,
And if Quebec decides to separate,
Should we frown and cry or maybe celebrate?

Is it possible by then they’ll decide to change?
Or will it, by then, be too late to arrange?
They’re too busy at the moment getting elected,
Glad you called but at they moment they’re disconnected.

Since Trudeau's Time

Since Trudeau’s Time

By

James Bredin

They have been importing voters since Trudeau’s time,
Carefully choreographed like their adscam crime,
Conducted immigration at the incoming flights,
No political complications for votes with rights.

Filled the welfare housing ghettos up to the sky,
Years of ESL Liberal input and they can rely,
Soft justice system where even prisoners got to vote,
Got bail or parole and then add one Tory turncoat.

As they tax and spend and travel here and there,
And the Access Act always hides exactly where,
Money is no object when you stand at the trough,
Taxpayers don’t know about their occasional rip-off.

They want to turn the page on sponsorship stuff,
Adscam Inquiry they say is more than enough,
And all that corruption is water under the bridge,
Should we throw them out like rotten food in the fridge?

Timid and subservient Canadians look on,
Torontonians listen to the gun shots and yawn,
And sometimes wonder why the Liberals stay in power,
Allan Cutler showed the way – he’s the man of the hour.

Now these imported voters are going to repay,
But maybe not in Quebec or Alberta they say,
But enough to keep Liberals pulling the strings,
Making their appointees and doing their things.
