Open Letter from Quebec Priests

This is definitely weird

By

James Bredin

It’s definitely weird but I like it just for that,
Question the church with Inquisition words of combat,
In an open letter compared to Luther’s on the church door,
Where’s the respect for authority or should I ignore?

But I can’t because in the past it shook the foundations,
Our good Catholic expectations with complications,
Saints, sinners, wars, ancestors burned at the stake,
Kings and queens excommunicated or was it all a mistake?

Luther’s ninety five Theses caused quite a stir,
Nailed to the Wittenberg door though Rome did not concur,
But that was history, long ago and far away,
Faith of those religious times is difficult to convey.

This time it’s gay marriage and homosexual stuff,
The pope, cardinals and bishops may find this rough,
Indeed I find it strange myself but what the heck,
Are these Quebecois priests in trouble up to their necks?

What will the bishops do if the priests don’t agree?
Is this blasphemy or a sin of the highest degree?
Can these priests forgive their own transgressions or sins?
Is this another schism and is this how it begins?

Adscam Liberals and Kyoto

Adscam Liberals and Kyoto

By

James Bredin

Still some partisan fiefdoms that the Liberals held,
Despite the adscam corruption that really smelled,
Organized by Chretien and all his adscam friends,
Gomery Inquiry showed envelopes of cash trends.

So few of these corrupt politicians needed bail,
Though police presented with evidence on huge scale,
It was all in the papers though so little debate,
Whatever happened in that case, Shawinigate?

Billions of adscam dollars simply vanished,
No one was held responsible or even banished,
Did the election cure all corruption and sins?
If no one was punished, to jail, then who wins?

And the environmentalists into deep depression,
Let’s hope they don’t bring on another recession,
Though I could do with some global warming in this snow,
Is their connection to the Liberals quid pro quo?

And our Kyoto connection is still hard to believe,
Why Chretien signed it, is difficult to perceive,
The Americans and Australians didn’t sign,
China and India excused so they didn’t align.

UN Water Under the Bridge

UN Water Under The Bridge

By

James Bredin

UN humanitarian attempts at humanity,
Saddam’s oil-for-food scandal, currency and vanity,
Paper shredders worked day and night for more than a year,
Investigators found nothing so Kofi was in the clear.

And their legal fees, if any, paid for by you and me,
Because socialist always find it easy to agree,
And when and if they pull another oil-for-food scam,
These self-important politicians don’t give a damn.

The greatest rip-off in the history of mankind,
Billions disappeared and no politicians maligned,
Don’t know where the money as they give excuses,
And we don’t know what to do about these abuses.

Pretending that it’s all water under the bridge,
Don’t rock the UN boat and there’s beer in the fridge,
Corruption up to their necks but does anyone care?
Is the UN flying on one wing and a prayer?

Use environment, as a decoy for their agenda,
As they pump out all kinds of Kyoto propaganda,
Goody-two-shoe stuff to make us all believe,
That rich dictators at the UN would never deceive.

Ontario Politicians Gone Mad

Ontario Politicians Gone Mad

By

James Bredin

Internet poet you may not have read on your screen,
Observant but well below their radar beam,
Not too pleased about stupid or corrupt politicians,
Or would-be communist totalitarian conditions.

“Oh,” you smile and say, “It could never happen here.”
But did you get the emission test on your car this year?
Think Germany, Russia, China, North Korea and more,
People lined up like soldiers pretending esprit de corps.

“But that was long ago,” you say, “and very far away.
We have democracy and they know how to obey.”
Dream on because they will not reveal their agenda,
Pull the strings and pump out their left wing propaganda.

A long ago, idiots were sent to an institution,
Got them off the streets as a civic solution,
But the people of Ontario found another way,
Elect them to Queen’s Park and put them on display.

Let’s get binding referendums to help democracy,
To stop the autocracy of their hypocrisy,
To stop their taxing and spending like idiots gone mad,
Easily compared to Ottawa which may be as bad.

Things You Didn't Know

Things you didn’t know

By

James Bredin

Were you notified about dangerous offenders?
Escapees from halfway houses or other pretenders?
Pedophile psychopaths walking the streets near you,
Because they have more rights than you ever even knew.

Forget that, because another global crisis looms today,
Not the lesbians, the same-sex escapees or the gay,
Not what feminists on the Supreme Court implore,
So please turn out all the lights and close the door.

The environmentalists all have something new to say,
Turn on the TV, pay attention and don’t look away,
Global warming is coming despite the snow outside,
And the bitter cold temperatures that can’t be denied.

Just look up at the sky and you can surely see the signs,
Clouds that show civilization is into decline,
The prophets of doom want you to pay attention and care,
As their announcements are geared to ensure that you’re scared.

Have you thought of a donation to help their cause?
Cash or a money order and don’t even pause,
Because the end of the world could be coming very soon,
Could be sometime before next Thursday afternoon.

The Kyoto Accord is the only way out,
We have to help Third World countries out of their drought,
The UN will give directions on how this is done,
Unlike the oil-for-food scandal, this could be fun.

We're going to Roast in Hell

We’re Going to Roast in Hell

By

James Bredin

Global warming is coming to a place near you,
It’s in all their newspapers so it has to be true,
But it’s winter now so you can’t really tell,
Wait till next summer when we’re going to roast in hell.

The ice cap is melting and it’s coming our way,
We have to do something soon; we just can’t delay,
Kyoto Accord will save us, they all announce,
Though Americans and Australians this denounce.

We’ll see signs of global warming at least by next week,
Environmental prophets are not the least bit meek,
But we still got snow a foot or more deep outside,
Is there even one possibility that maybe they lied?

Did the adscam Liberal politicians lock us in?
With their left wing socialist Kyoto UN spin,
Has China and India all been excused?
Did those adscam Liberals get us all confused?

We have all been trained and told what to think,
And no need to question politicians or even blink,
That UN oil-for-food scandal never occurred,
The adscam Liberal spin is what we all preferred.

Should we get out of Kyoto now?

Should we get out of Kyoto now?

By

James Bredin

What about this looming global disaster?
As foretold by every environmental master,
Global warming is coming by the middle of July,
Should we say our prayers, look around and say good bye?

We’re going to hell according to the prophets of doom,
Climate change – the end of the earth – coming soon.
They say we have to stay in the Kyoto Accord now,
And if we don’t we might miss out on being good somehow.

And we have to help poor people in the Third World,
UN developing nations with their flags unfurled,
The Americans and Australians not in this accord,
India and China excused from being aboard.

And our taxes may increase but that’s nothing new,
Unless we pull out of Kyoto before they go askew,
Let’s hope our politicians finally have some balls,
Get out of Kyoto now and make our own calls.

The Abortionists

The Writings on the Ghetto Walls

By

James Bredin

The abortionists and feminists all feel distinct,
They went to the Supreme Court and judges all blinked,
Appointees said abortionists all had certain rights,
To kill unborn babies in the dead of the night.

The increase in population immediately stopped,
Immigrant workers came or economy could flop,
Like the abortionists, the new arrivals had rights,
Trudeau/Chretien Charter and left wing appointee delights.

The illegals and the terrorists also arrived,
All claiming their Charter rights and they can’t be deprived,
And they all got to vote before that next election,
In three years – voted same as the prisoner selection.

Strange writings and loud music near the ghetto walls,
Soft justice system and politicians with no balls,
And in a matter of some years we too will be dead,
Unlike the abortion babies, our names may be read.

Close Down the UN Now

Close Down the UN Now

By

James Bredin

The list of dictator representatives is long,
At the UN where their cartel is extremely strong,
Politically correct so you can’t do a thing,
They have their agenda while we fly on one wing.

These warlords of corruption are sometimes replaced,
By other corrupt dictators just as two faced.
Investigations at the UN have now been forbidden,
Oil-for-food scandal shredded and Swiss Accounts hidden.

Environmentalists of the Kyoto Accord scream,
Americans and Australians not on this odd team,
India and China of course have all been excused,
Canada will pay developing nations and be abused.

The adscam corrupt Liberals did it long ago,
And we will now have to pay with lots of tax dough,
Canada has been cursed with these politicians from hell,
Taxed, spent and travelled and their souls they would sell.

So let’s get together and close the UN down,
Bulldozers to push it into the East River and drown,
Send corrupt dictators back to where they belong,
Find someone to write a nice going-away song.

In 2020 it will be different

In 2020 It Will Be Different

By

James Bredin

The ladies enroute to the abortion clinic place,
Will make no new babies or increase their race,
But pregnant polygamy girls in burkas will,
And neither will they use a contraceptive pill.

Human rights types and feminists in delight,
Feel that both they and ladies in burkas have rights,
No need for integration in this multicultural place,
New laws, new religion, new international race.

Gutless media with the cartoons not on display,
Bent by distant mob rule, activist lesbians or gays,
Pompous politicians do anything for a vote,
Same-sex or polygamy and we’re all on remote.

They use “respect”, “responsibility” and “diversity”.
To callously explain the cartoon controversy,
But still refused to put these cartoons on display,
Tried to convey that they hadn’t gone astray.

Other politicians also like publication bans,
What goes on in court as they hide their hands,
Bend over backwards for new multicultural race,
Should all women buy burkas and get in their place?

Riots, Blasphemy, Heretics and Culture

Riots, Blasphemy, Heretics and Culture

By

James Bredin

Could we discuss cartoons or suicide bombers now?
Should we check with politicians to see if we’re allowed?
Is this blasphemy or do we have an inquisition?
Where is their nearest human rights commission?

Narrow minded offended by freedom of expression,
As their censor points to this or that as aggression,
And we’re not supposed to react because we have rights,
In the Trudeau/Chretien Charter of their delights.

And can’t use that banned phrase, “Canadian Culture.”
Sold out long ago for something called “multiculture,”
And these multicultural types like to talk the talk,
While terrorists arrive with rights and walk the walk.

So much for freedom of speech and freedom of the press,
When it comes to information, we get less and less,
Like some suppressed Soviet culture we heard,
Propaganda and politicians and sheep in a herd.

We have more than our share of cowardly politicians,
Who change and relinquish according to conditions,
It only takes a Hitler, Stalin or Moe to ignite,
And you or you could be sent to a gulag tonight.

There was a time when they burned heretics alive,
But obnoxious champions of orthodoxy survive,
Does it all boil down to who believes in which god?
Let’s tiptoe through riots and blasphemy with a nod?

Peace in our time

Peace in our Time

By

James Bredin

We have media with hidden special agenda,
Bend the truth with their own pompous propaganda,
Freedom of expression curbed so it’s no longer allowed,
Can’t see that cartoon so now we’re completely cowed.

The world could end and we’ll never know how or why,
And we’re not allowed to think or ask or even defy?
Is there a need for dialogue about peace in our time?
Where is Winston Churchill for this victimless crime?

Why bother to be involved, you might ask yourself twice,
We won’t stand up for ourselves because we’re so nice,
We have to do what we’re told because we’re all wimps,
Incoming terrorists not given a second glimpse.

Did the media cave in on freedom of expression?
Or was it just an illusion in their profession?
Is this like Pravda and their official censor?
Produced in the Soviet socialist condenser.

Would our moral capitulation be such a loss?
Is there a forbidden information line we can’t cross?
Who should we ask; what should we do; where should we turn?
Should we change religions in order to learn?

Will We Have to Change Soon?

By

James Bredin

If they riot and burn flags to get us on our knees,
And everyone bends backwards trying to appease,
And it’s about cartoons and a flag with a cross,
And some strange message they are trying to get across.

With multicultural policies we had it made,
But then we looked in the mirror and saw we were afraid,
We begged forgiveness for being what we are,
Apologies came from politicians near and far.

It’s moral capitulation of our values now,
No more multicultural policies somehow,
Is polygamy is no longer a crime or a sin,
Will feminists wear a burka just to fit in?

And nobody will be allowed to step out of line,
Multicultural bureaucracy not needed this time,
Because Canadian culture will not exist,
Because terrorists with rights will persist and insist.

While people in gridlock, stuck in traffic entombed,
Listen to the radio about riots and doom,
Receive the message of our complete capitulation,
Told what to think and what to say for their salvation.

Binding Democratic Referendums

Binding Democratic Referendums

By

James Bredin

Canada was once a land of loyalists, my friend,
Fought patriotic wars to amend or defend,
And then we got the Trudeau/Chretien Charter of Rights,
For incoming terrorists who arrive every flight.

But you didn’t know and they never even told you so,
As they go all the way to the Supreme Court dog show,
Liberal appointees, there till they’re seventy five,
Decide whatever they like in their Charter and thrive.

No need to waver on what is right or what is wrong,
Democracy has nothing to do with who will belong,
Or who’s son or daughter will be killed in an abortion,
Or same sex and polygamy in equal proportion.

Old fervent fanaticism has now been reimposed,
On us, for the newly arrived multicultural horde,
Who may be inclined to riot if they don’t get their way,
As their numbers and votes increase day by day.

Should I apologize for even telling you this?
Or should we have binding referendums like the Swiss?
Or bow our heads to the new dictatorial god?
No need to think – just give a silent little nod?

Canadian Political Poetry: A form of National Madness

A Form of National Madness

By

James Bredin

They reversed old religious fanaticism by diktat,
Praised themselves as if they had been involved in combat,
Forgot to say that their Charter gave no property rights,
A Charter for “Everyone” they said was a delight.

While the old religious intolerance was bad enough,
Their god of multiculturalism could be rough,
By government decree and bureaucratic command,
Reverse everything that was acceptable and grand.

Prison criminal homicide psychopaths got the vote,
Given to them by adscam Liberals to promote,
Their left wing philosophies that everything was grand,
Abortions, same sex and polygamy on demand.

It’s all written there in Trudeau’s Charter of Rights,
For oddballs and weirdoes with pedophile delights,
Political correctness gone completely mad,
Such Soviet commitment and we appear so glad.

If and when Ben Laden arrives, he too has rights,
We can’t show feelings as he stands there in his dress whites,
It was written for “everyone” by government decree,
No need for referendums and terrorists all agree.

Multiculturalism

Liberal Multiculturalism

By

James Bredin

Multiculturalism itself is fine,
It’s government edicts that are out of line,
Say anything; do anything to corner the vote,
Pompous lying politicians then stand back and gloat.

Religious intolerance has long been banned,
So why the need for a multiculturalism command?
Monster bureaucracy plus immigrant vote reason?
Even gave prisoner pedophiles the vote that season.

These odious orthodoxies of the socialist left,
Pompously pushed though democracy is bereft,
They couldn’t care less as they try to enthrall,
With their cult of Kyoto and the sky might fall.

At least in democracy we can change the leader,
Let’s hope Stephen Harper is not a bottom feeder,
Where corrupt adscam Liberals were bound to fail,
Will any of these types be ever sent to jail?

Canada coping with Kyoto Accord

Canada coping with Kyoto Accord

By

James Bredin

Our economy linked to the Kyoto Accord,
The United Nations guys don’t care what we can afford,
Because their developing countries will have it made,
Chretien locked us in during his mad left-wing crusade.

Head of the adscam Liberal politicians,
Dictatorial rule in scandalous conditions,
And Kofi’s UN job is very soon up for grabs,
Better than going to jail or driving Toronto cabs.

Dictatorial friends are now developing nations,
That gives them a right to claim Kyoto donations,
And their Swiss bank accounts will jump by leaps and bounds,
They don’t care if it’s in rupees, marks, euros or pounds.

Because the taxpayers will never be informed,
Where the money ends up or how it performed,
And Saddam’s UN oil-for-food scandal was all a lie,
Paper shredders and evidence vanished in the sky.

George Bush and the Americans are not in on this,
The Australians too say they are going to miss,
And India and China have all been excused,
Why are we the only ones to seem to be confused?
