Dearest Dummy Dalton

Dearest Dummy Dalton

By

James Bredin

Figure out the worst decision a premier could make,
That’s the decision that Dalton McGinty will take,
And eventually he might decide to have a debate,
But by the time they sit down it’s already too late.

Which is just as well because he can’t do it right,
Tax and spend and travel and avoid political fight,
And the people of Ontario will learn the hard way,
No recall or referendums but higher taxes they pay.

Think of the most stupid thing a politician could do,
Then think Ontario Liberals and you might have a clue,
The Guinness Book of Records should be on hand,
But nobody would believe it or understand.

I can’t go into detail; it’s too stupid and involved,
Nothing, absolutely nothing has ever been solved,
Don’t ever dare or try to ask one of them a question,
The answer will send you down into deep depression.
